MOBILE PRODUCT STRATEGY & CONSULTING

Mobile product strategy.
A clearer next move.

Asol Design helps mobile founders connect user needs, product decisions, and the business model. We work through positioning, first-session value, monetization, and retention to define a focused direction for an iOS or Android app.

SCOPE & DELIVERABLES

Know what the next investment is for.

Product strategy should help your team make decisions: who the app serves, which problem comes first, what belongs in the initial scope, and how the experience supports the business. We review the information you have, separate evidence from assumptions, and connect the agreed priorities to the next phase of design.

Positioning & MVP priorities

Clarify the audience, core use case, product promise, and business constraints. For an early product, work through what the first version needs to prove and which features can wait.

Activation & monetization

Connect acquisition messaging to onboarding and a useful first session. Review the role of personalization, trials, paywalls, and upgrade moments in helping people understand the value of the product.

Retention & growth direction

Consider what makes the core experience useful again, how progress is communicated, and which actions deserve attention. Align product choices with relevant retention and acquisition priorities.

Choose a scope that fits the decision.

A paid diagnostic consultation suits a specific question or a product with unclear friction. A discovery engagement goes further into product structure and visual direction. A broader product and growth partnership can connect strategy, design, and marketing priorities over an agreed scope. We discuss the appropriate starting point before work begins.

HOW WE WORK

A clear path through the work.

  1. Bring the product context

Share your app or prototype, audience, business model, current priorities, and available analytics or feedback. For a new idea, explain the problem you want to solve and what you already know.

  2. Identify the decisions

Work through the core experience and the assumptions behind it. Identify where the product promise, first session, paid value, or return journey needs a clearer direction.

  3. Agree on priorities

Connect the important decisions to a manageable product or redesign scope. Discuss dependencies, trade-offs, and the behavior you want users to reach.

  4. Define the next phase

The agreed scope may include product priorities, user-flow structure, a visual concept, and a plan for evaluating the design. We specify the actual outputs in the proposal.

EXPERIENCE & CONTRIBUTION

Product leadership informs the design.

Asol Design is led by Anna S. Her background includes software development, product management, and fractional CPO and acting CEO responsibilities inside a US mobile startup, where she also became a co-owner. That experience informs how we connect design choices with product and business priorities. The 500+ launched mobile apps shown on this site span Anna’s independent work and Asol Design.

Before we start.

Is this useful before we have an app?

Yes. An early-stage engagement can focus on the audience, problem, core use case, MVP priorities, and intended business model. Bring any research, wireframes, or assumptions you already have.

Can you help with a live app that is losing users?

We can review the relevant journey and available evidence to identify friction and priorities. The scope might focus on activation, onboarding, paid conversion, or return behavior. A consultation can help determine where to start.

What is the difference between a consultation and discovery?

A paid consultation is a focused session about a specific product challenge. Discovery is a separate engagement to define a broader structure and direction. Its duration and deliverables depend on the agreed scope.

Does a strategy engagement guarantee growth?

No. Strategy and design create a direction and hypotheses to test. Acquisition quality, implementation, pricing, and market conditions also affect results. We agree on meaningful metrics and use post-launch evidence to evaluate decisions.
